For basic navigation, we have followed an approach consistent with most current web-applications. We have installed top and left side navigation. The left side navigation is collapsible at any time.
The top navigation area is where you will find access to our support and help functions along with your individual preferences, the logout function, and the current screen indicator.
The left side navigation includes the new navigation wheel that will help you quickly move to the main areas of the service. The menu items below the wheel will lead you to your most recent activities. If you have access privileges, you’ll be able to get to the Solution Alignment Center from here as well. You will always be able to search for companies or people directly from the left navigation area, regardless of what screen you are currently on. Each major research area will have its own information panel with some basic insights into using the service.
The last two sections on the bottom left will contain two tag clouds. For those unfamiliar with the concept, a tag cloud is a list of keywords that will link directly to specific research content. The words will be color coded to identify whether or not they represent industries, companies, people or business issues. The size of the text will indicate the frequency that the content has been visited. The upper cloud will contain your own activity while the lower cloud will contain an aggregation of the entire Stratascope user community.
