Capabilities

 

Capabilities and Capability Groups are placeholders that you can use to describe your offerings.  You can also attach notes, links, and files to capabilities so that they will show up wherever you tag the capability to issues.  That means you shouldn’t have to duplicate a lot of effort.  Your capabilities are most likely described quite well on your website.  You probably already have published brochures, whitepapers, and presentations.  You can attach them or link to them as you see fit.  Record any notes that your sales and marketing users will need.

 

You can weight your capabilities in order to provide another grouping mechanism.  The weighting will also impact whether or not an issue will make it to the top 20 list for a company.  Higher weightings are more likely to make the list.

 

You can also create capabilities that replace other capabilities in specific geographies that you can define.  For example you might have special offerings for emerging markets.  Your users in those markets would see the capabilities that have replaced your standard offerings.
